Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of First Light ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

First Light aggregates news from sources you choose and uses AI to summarise, translate, and optionally voice a personalised morning brief. The Service is currently an invite-only beta: it is provided as-is, may change, and may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors.

• You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid invite to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
• You may invite others only through the invite codes issued to you; do not share credentials.

You may connect your own AI and voice provider keys. You are responsible for those accounts, for any usage costs they incur, and for complying with each provider's terms. First Light uses your keys only to provide the Service to you and applies reasonable measures to protect them, but you acknowledge that use of third-party providers is subject to their availability and terms.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other accounts.
• Resell, redistribute, or scrape the Service or its output except as expressly permitted.

News content originates from third-party publishers and is summarised or translated by AI. It may be incomplete, out of date, or inaccurate, and is provided for general information only. It is not professional, financial, legal, medical, or investment advice. Verify anything important against the original source before relying on it. Source content remains the property of its respective publishers.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, First Light and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the Service or its output, or from third-party providers you connect.

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access — including revoking invites — if these Terms are breached or to protect the Service or its users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you through the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
